FUNCTIONS / OBJECTIVE

N2Gout® provides the anthocyanin benefit of whole sweet cherries in freeze-dried form, along with Turmeric (Curcuma longa) for anti-inflammatory support, Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) for stress management, and Stinging Nettle Leaf for inflammation support by flushing excess uric acid.

Freeze-Dried Whole Tart Cherry Powder
It has been well documented that cherries have been traditionally used to reduce pain, inflammation, and frequency of gout, because they contain the flavonoid antioxidant, anthocyanin.

Anthocyanins inhibit the enzyme xanthine oxidase (which promotes the production of uric acid), to slow the production down so the body doesn’t make too much while making less effort to excrete it.

This can result in not only helping to prevent crystal formations but it may also help breakup already formed uric acid crystals in the joints that cause the inflammation and pains commonly associated with gout.

To ensure that all of the natural constituents of the cherry are readily available for full benefit we use whole food freeze-dried sweet cherries. The frozen raw cherries are placed in a refrigerated vacuum system, and without thawing, are dehydrated. During the drying process cell structure remains intact and the product retains its color, shape, flavor, and nutritional value of the original ingredient.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
Turmeric, a herbaceous plant of the ginger family, is most commonly used as a culinary spice. However, due largely to its anti-inflammatory properties, it has been recognized for its healthful effects.

Turmeric contains more than two dozen anti-inflammatory compounds, including six different COX-2 inhibitors (the COX-2 enzyme promotes pain, swelling, and inflammation). Inhibitors like turmeric selectively block that enzyme.

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)
All B vitamins are known to be “anti-stress”, but of them, the most important one is Vitamin B5
(Pantothenic Acid). It is essential for fat, protein, and carbohydrate metabolism. Additionally, it has been shown to be beneficial in stress management by promoting positive mood and brain function. A
deficiency in Vitamin B5 is associated with stress, nervous irritability, and adrenal exhaustion.

Stinging Nettle Leaf
Shown to support reduction in pain and swelling associated with gout by flushing the excess uric acid
out of the body. Since it has anti-inflammatory effects, it can be used to soothe the swelling of the joints and the excruciating pain caused by gout.
